CBD stands for cannabidiol, which is one of the hundreds of cannabinoids found inside the cannabis plant. CBD and THC are the two types of phytocannabinoids that have been most widely researched, with others like CBN and CBG quickly gaining recognition.
No, you will not get high from our CBD products. As CBD is non-psychoactive, this means that it will not create the “stoned” sensation experienced with products containing THC.
The difference between CBD and THC can be seen in their sources. CBD is (often) derived from hemp and THC is derived from marijuana. Both hemp and marijuana are strains of cannabis plants. Hemp contains non-detectable amounts of THC, whereas marijuana contains high levels of it.
CBD naturally has the ability to fight inflammation, soothe sore muscles, relieve menstrual cramping and intestinal pain, reduce stress, aid in sleep, and provide mental clarity. When combined with other cannabinoids and terpenes, these benefits can be maximized for an entourage effect.
⟶ What is the difference between full-spectrum, broad-spectrum and isolate CBD oil?
In addition to CBD, full spectrum formulas include other phytocannabinoids and terpenes that create what’s called an entourage effect, while a CBD isolate contains only CBD. While we will not reap the benefits that CBN, CBG, or even small amounts of THC offer when paired with cannabidiol, CBD isolate is still an effective option.
There is a variety of ways. The most straightforward is to take a tincture. You use the dropper to place some CBD oil under your tongue, leave it there for 30 to 45 seconds (to allow absorption) and then swallow the rest of the oil. This is the quickest way to absorb CBD into the body.If you rather experiment with a topical delivery method, we have some body & skin products that are designed to use topically and therefore the CBD is absorbed through your skin’s transdermal layer.
If you’re looking to get started with CBD it is always better to start low and work your way up. We recommend starting off with a dose of 10mg a day, stick with it for 5-7 days and then increase 2-5mg a day till you find your sweet spot. This way you can get a feel of how the CBD (or CBD blend) affects your body. Check out each individual product page for our recommendations for serving suggestions.
If you’ve never tried CBD before, it might take a few times to feel its full effects before you figure out the amount and delivery mode that works best for you. While some users feel a shift immediately, we recommend you allow 7-14 days of consistent dosing for it to take full effect.
All products come with a Certificate of Analysis to ensure we are only selling products with the finest materials. Additionally we validate all of our products with third party labs to ensure purity and consistency. If you would like to see the COA results please ask and we will be happy to share them with you.
